It's baaack! My favorite nail polish brand is having their annual Earth Day Polish Exchange from April 19th - April 26th. ZOYA is helping you spring clean your nail polish wardrobe and get rid of any old nail polish that may not be BIG5FREE
(Free of Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Toluene, DBP and Camphor)
and exchange it for a greener alternative - long lasting, award winning,
healthy ZOYA Nail Polish Bottlesl
So how exactly does this work? Go to zoya.com and pick out at least 6 bottles of polish in your shades of choice (maximum of 24 bottles per order). Apply the promo code ZOYAEARTH2013 and you'll get 50% off your order. Once you receive your order, just ship them back the same number of non-ZOYA polish you ordered. ZOYA does go by the honor system so you are not required to send them the non-ZOYA polish in return. However, you can donate them.
Please visit zoya.com for restrictions and full details of the Earth Day Polish Exchange.

Sea Breeze
Outfit details:
polka dot Portofino shirt - Express
Stella faded mint ankle jean legging - Express
chunky chainlink necklace - Express
Shiva sandals - ShoeMint (last seen here)
MAB - Rebecca Minkoff (last seen here)
We visited some relatives in San Jose over the weekend and decided to make a pit stop at Santa Cruz first for some surf and sand. This was our third trip to Santa Cruz Beach and I guess third time was the charm because the weather was perfect! The first two times we visited, it was overcast and not too warm. This time around, the sun was out and it was breezy just enough that you didn't get too hot. I even caught a litle bit of a tan so now I'm more golden and less pale.
This outfit is the epitome of my happy place: sun, ocean and polka dots.

Citrus Squeeze
Outfit details:
color block blouse - Urban Outfitters (old)
snake print leggings - Express (in neutral, in cobalt)
ankle strap heels - ShoeMint (similar, coveting this one in yellow)
MAB - Rebecca Minkoff (in mint, similar color in MAB Bombe)
As part of my spring cleaning spree, I've organized my closet and managed to weed out some clothes that I no longer wear/fit into. I finally found this pair of Express snake print leggings from last fall that somehow became buried my other clothes - one of the many pitfalls of not having a properly organized closet. So lesson learned: throw out some old clothes and organize.
I've already cleaned out my handbags so I'm tackling my shoe collection next. Wish me luck!
Which area are you targeting for spring cleaning?

Fun run

Annie Oakley lace skirt - Free People
lace up tall boots - Seychelles, old (similar here)
skinny leather belt - old
Ladder Link necklace - JewelMint
How is daylight savings treating you? As for me, I was really looking forward to being able to jog outside more often. I'd been reduced to jogging only on weekend mornings the past month which really wasn't cutting it for me. With the longer days, I would be able to jog after work. Unfortunately for me, my excitement and clumsiness did not mix well on my run last Saturday. I tripped and fell on some rocky concrete almost halfway into it but I managed to finished my run like a trooper with blood dripping down my knees. I'm pretty sure I scared a couple pedestrians on the trail along the way as well. Now, I'll have to wait until my knee heals to run again so I don't tear open the wound. I'll spare you guys the picture and instead, share this picture above which was taken a couple hours after the incident. I was hobbling along and had to take off the boots and skirt after a few minutes since my wounded knee soaked through its bandages. I've been living in tights ever since.
Also, I'm having a denim shirt moment.

Lanolin balm review
I received the Dr. Lipp Nipple Balm for Lips in my February Birchbox last month and was curious to try it. Not only because it had a cheeky name but because I came across a similar product during my nursing days. TMI alert: when you're nursing, your nipples can become dry and cracked due to the constant contact with the baby's mouth and spit. So just like when we wash our hands too much or lick our lips a lot, the nipples become dry and need to be moisterized.
The product that nursing mothers used in the United States is Lansinoh HPA Lanolin. It's 100% natural, pure lanolin and is endorsed by the La Leche League International, Inc. It's safe to be consumed so it doesn't have to be removed prior to feeding which means it's safe to use as a lip balm as well. It's also used to cure/prevent diaper rash in babies, I assume it can prevent diaper rash in adults as well.
The consistency of Lansinoh Lanolin is very thick. In colder temps, it can take awhile for product to soften up. You can just take a bit of it between your fingers and rub it together until it softens up to your liking. It also doesn't have a distinct smell.
In sampling Dr. Lipp Original Nipple Balm for Lips in last month's Birchbox, I've found that it was very similar to Lansinoh. It was originally touted as a nipple balm as well so I assume this is the UK's Lansinoh. I did find that Dr. Lipp's product came out of the tube smoother than Lansinoh. Other than that, they are very similar products and would recommend Lansinoh if you do not have a preference to packaging aesthetics and brand name since Lansinoh gives you better bang for your buck (more product at a lower price).
Other uses for lanolin balm: heal cuticles, split ends, sunburns and makeup primer.
Dr. Lipp Original Nipple Balm for Lips is priced at $14.50 for 0.507 fl. oz.
Lansinoh HPA Lanolin is priced at $9.99 for 1.41 fl. oz.
Have you tried either the Dr. Lipp Nipple Balm or Lansinoh HPA Lanolin and what are your thoughts? If not, would you consider trying either?

This is what makes us girls
Outfit details:
denim shirt - Target
pink belt - Express, old
tropicana fruit bracelet - Jewelmint
This was my bare legs' first foray into the sun after a few long months of hibernation. They've been itching to come out but I had to hide them under pants and tights because of the cold weather. Spring isn't here yet but I'm ready to put away the dark heavy winter clothes and make room for shorter brighter spring clothes. Aren't you?
Also, I chopped off about eight inches of my hair recently. No more hair getting caught under my purse straps or against the backrest of a chair. Liberated and it feels so good.

Louis Louis
Outfit details:
eversoft bow sweater - gap
super skinny zipper twill pants - gap
Sheryl mary jane pumps - nine west
Michael Kors Hamilton bag - gift from hubby
If you follow me on Instagram, this outfit might look familiar. After I had posted it up on my Instagram account, I distinctly remember my daughter and her friends saying I was dressed like Louis Tomlinson from the UK boy band, One Direction. Apparently, little Louis has an affinity for striped tops and red pants and I unknowingly "copped" his style. Oops! Sorry to burst your bubble kids but I'm pretty sure this style combo has been around before both Louis and I were even born.
Note to self: don't wear this outfit ever again.
